Distances: in historical centre of Roman and Medieval Todi, about 180 m from main square Piazza del Popolo and all shops, banks, chemist’s, restaurants; 50 m from nearest bus stop, from free car park for residents and about 400 m from town car park; 5 Km from Todi train station and exit of the E45 highway that crosses Umbria; about 40 Km from major Umbrian towns like Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Spoleto and Gubbio; about 50 Km south of Perugia airport; 120 Km north of Rome and 200 Km from Rome Fiumicino airport.
About Todi: Todi is a walking town its excellent restaurants and outdoor cafes. You do not need a car unless you plan site seeing. Todi is well situated to enjoy day trips to some of the most important Medieval and Renaissance towns in Italy – Arezzo, Siena, Rome, Florence, Orvieto, Assisi. The Rocca, a park for children as well as to view the extraordinary landscapes around Todi, is a short walk from the house.
Description: This apartment is included in a 3-story Roman and Medieval house that hosts only 2 apartments in total and which is set back from the street in a small nice courtyard, a five-minute walk to Todi’s main square, with its 12th century cathedral, town hall, clustering of outdoor cafes and frequent cultural events. All of Umbria stretches out below you from the windows. Owned by an Italian painter in early 20th century who decorated the ceilings of the majestic buildings in the square and then by a great Pulitzer-prize poet, the apartment still keeps the charm of the Roman and Medieval times: the nice large outdoor landing in front of the main door where you can sit and enjoy the view of a typical Medieval street and courtyard, the old arches, vaults and Roman well in the basement, the imposing century-old wooden beams and terracotta tiles of the ceilings and floors. People love the apartment not only for its charm but also for its privacy while being so close to the square. The apartment and the whole house were restored in 2006 by retrieving all original materials, such as terracotta tiles on the floors, massive wooden beams on the ceilings, stone walls, stone fireplaces.
FEATURES: a few terracotta steps lead up to the communal 7- sq m large outdoor landing/balcony that leads to the main door and communal hall

Spacious eat - in kitchen with view over the landing and the countryside around Todi. It features a wood burning old stone fireplace, the whole cabinets made of antique wood and countertop of white Carrara marble; dishwasher, double sink, refrigerator, freezer, cooker and oven.
Large living room with massive central stone fireplace and windows overlooking a private garden, a quiet neighbourhood and the surrounding countryside. It features 1 sofa bed.
